What information do I need for a birth chart?
A chart normally uses your birth date, the most accurate available time and birthplace. The date helps locate the planets; time and place are needed to calculate the Ascendant and houses.
If the time is unknown, some chart factors can still be explored, but house and angle readings should not be presented as certain. Check records or family recollections if those details matter to your reading.
